Meet Sophia, a humanoid robot created by Hanson Robotics. In the few years she has been ‘activated’, this AI has already made history by being the first robot declared a citizen by Saudi Arabia.
In recent news, she is also the first robot to not only attend but be seated front row to witness one of the most coveted designer’s works: Alexander Wang’s Autumn/Winter 2019 show.
It should also be noted that Sophia did not sit idly. She was seen turning her head as her eyes followed the models up and down the runway. Another way she could be seen appreciating the fashion world is by donning some timeless pieces herself. One of the items she sported was fresh of the runway and was worn by some of the models themselves. In fact, the black and red bandana she wore around her neck shows that she is considered an ‘A-lister’; which is not surprising as from what I have seen from her Instagram, her sense of fashion seems to always be on trend. Surely, an inspiration for future robots.
